J D Salinger
There are very few books which can make me want to read it again as soon as I read the last word. However since the very first time I read The Catcher in the Rye when I was about 13 I've loved it more than any other book (with the exception of HP, obviously). This book is easily one of the greatest works of literature I have ever read, and one of the greatest books ever written. Even if most people I know who have read it hate it.
Personally I think that Holden Caulfield is one of the best written characters I have ever come across and easily one of my favourite characters from a work of fiction ever, second only to Draco Malfoy.
I love this book and reviewing it without talking about certain aspects I love is difficult, but if you haven't read it I don't want to be the one ruining it for you. Each time I read this book I fall more and more in love with it. I recommend this book to anyone and everyone. It's pure brilliance.
J D Salinger is one of my favourite authors, this is my favourite of his works, and simply it's my favourite book. This blog post is more of a "I love this book and please read it" than an actual review but I can't really help it, I just love the book a whole lot.
